Parrot Speaks — Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 2026.
Parrot Speaks requires network access to translate your strings. This page explains what is sent, where, and what stays on your device.
Information We Collect
None. The app does not log, transmit, or store any usage information on any server we operate. There are no developer-operated servers.
Network Requests
When you translate, the source strings and the context you provide are sent directly from your device to OpenAI using the API key you configure. Requests do not pass through any service we operate, so we never see your strings or your key.
Third-Party Services
Strings sent to OpenAI are handled under OpenAI's privacy policy. Review it before sending sensitive content.
Local Storage
Your API key, configuration, and string-catalog files are stored only on your device. Uninstalling the app removes them.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here and noted in the app's release notes.
